Every year the Moomba Masters kicks off the global wake season in spectacular fashion, and 2026 was no exception. The 65th Moomba Masters Inventational was held during the iconic Moomba Festival in Melbourne, Australia (March 5–9), the event marked the official debut of the 2026 Nautique Wake Series, once again pulled by the Super Air Nautique G23 for the 13th consecutive year.
As one of the most prestigious stops in wakeboarding, the Moomba Masters features a tightly scheduled format and limited rider fields. Athletes earned their place through early registration and, when necessary, their 2025 Nautique Wake Series rankings, ensuring that only the top competitors lined up on the Yarra River.
With capped divisions—18 riders in Pro Men, 12 in Pro Women, 12 in Jr. Men, and 6 in Jr. Women—the stage was set for an elite field and high-stakes riding across multiple days of competition. From rising junior talent to the sport’s biggest names in the pro divisions, riders battled it out in front of massive festival crowds to open the season in style.
Now, let’s take a look at how the action unfolded and who walked away with the top spots at the 2026 Moomba Masters.
Flagship Ronix Team Rider, Tyler Higham took home the Pro Men’s gold this year at Moomba Masters. Facing a stacked field of riders on his heels, he topped Nic Rapa (2nd) and Daniel Johnson (3rd).
On top of the Women’s podium is a someone very familiar being there. Zahra Kell won Pro Women’s for the 4th consecutive year at Moomba Masters. She was followed up by Mackenzie McCarthy in 2nd and 3rd by Abby Guinan.
